Featuring music from A Fine Frenzy and original score from Christopher Young. Forced out of her home after her boyfriend is arrested, Joleen Reedy needs a place to stay for herself and her 11-year-old daughter, Tara. She turns for help to her younger brother, James; a simple and overly trusting man who doesn't hesitate to welcome them into his modest rental apartment. No sooner she moves in, Joleen hits the road with another man leaving James to tend to Tara. Utterly ill-equipped to be the sole guardian of an adolescent girl, James does his best to make his distraught niece happy and the pair take off on a journey of their own, assuming new identities as father and daughter. What starts out as a ploy to evade family and welfare authorities takes on a deeper significance as James strives to become the dad Tara never had, and for the first time finds a true purpose in life.

When an elderly patient, a painter losing his eyesight, begins to visit her office unannounced, Rose registers how alone he is, urging him to reach out and ask for help, something neither does easily. Meanwhile Simon, a late-blooming teenager with an overbearing mother, photographs people at a distance with a borrowed long lens. One day, Rose, beautiful and melancholy in a vibrant scarf, comes into focus in his camera sight. Original score from Jean Pascal Beintus and Eric Avery. Drought. Famine. Severe flooding. Record rainfall. Hurricanes. Acid rain. The highest average temperatures in recorded history. Catastrophe is reported on the nightly news as isolated incidents. But are these incidents isolated, or pieces of a larger global puzzle that could unlock humanity's future? In the history of the planet, humanity's time on earth has been short--but powerful. The human drive to ensure its own survival, and quality of life, has revolutionized industry, science, nutrition and medicine. But it has also effected unprecedented changes in the delicate balance that makes life on earth possible. However, are these changes to the earth permanent? Or are they puzzle pieces that, if connected, reveal a larger story that needs to be told--a human story that takes into account: who we are and the state of our relationship to this planet, our only home. We are in an environmental age whether we like it or not.

They remain the only human beings to have stood on another world. This chronicle brings together, possibly for the first and last time, the surviving crew members from every single Apollo mission that flew to the Moon; it also allows them to tell their story in their own words. First-hand testimony is interwoven with visual archival material which has been re-mastered from the original NASA film footage--much of it never used before. As a result, this space 'epic' communicates the daring, the danger, the pride, and the promise of this extraordinary era in history when the whole world literally looked up at America.
